1) Is the Alamo Icebar completely made of ice?

The bar is completely made of ice except for the floor and ceiling; 90,000 pounds of ice was brought in to build the bar.

2) Is there a waiver to enter the Alamo Icebar?

Yes, to ensure our guests’ safety and enjoyment, we ask all our guests to sign a waiver before entry.

3) Where is the Icebar located?

The Icebar is located at 200 E River Walk Street suite 120, San Antonio, TX. 78205; at the corner of N St. Mary’s Street and W Crockett Street along the River Walk.

4) What are the Alamo Icebar’s operating days and hours?

Sunday–Thursday 11am–9pm (we will serve the last group at 8:40pm) and Friday–Saturday 11am–11pm (we will serve the last group at 10:40pm).

5) Does the Icebar take cash?

We are a cashless venue, however it is your option to tip the bartenders with cash.

6) Is there a drink included with the ticket?

We offer a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage for children and guests who do not drink alcohol or a variety of flavored / non-flavored liquor shot for guests 21 and older.

7) How old do you have to be to visit the Icebar?

The Alamo Icebar allows all ages from 11am till 5pm daily, after 5pm the icebar is only for 21 and older guests.

8) How much does it cost to visit the Icebar?

The different tickets we offer are $29 for 21+ with one drink, $39 for 21+ with two drinks, $24 for those between the ages of 11–20 with 1 non-alcoholic drink (under 18 must be accompanied by a parent), and free for children ages 10 and under accompanied by a parent at either the $29 or $39 ticket.

9) Do we need to print the tickets before arrival?

No, we have your reservations in our system so you will only need to show your digital ticket.

10) Do I need a reservation?

When purchasing a ticket, you will be asked to choose a specific timeslot.

11) Do I need to choose a timeslot when making a reservation?

Due to guests’ visits being timed, every guest must choose a specific timeslot. There are 3 slots to choose from every hour during our operating hours.

12) What is the late arrival policy?

We allow a 15-minute grace period after your scheduled visit before the reservation is considered a no-show.

13) Can I buy tickets onsite?

Yes, we have staff that are happy to help. (Please keep in mind we have limited occupancy per timeslot).

14) Can I bring my phone inside?

Yes, you can bring your phone with you.

15) Is it ok to take pictures and video?

Yes, we encourage you to share your experiences! Please tag us #AlamoIcebar!

16) Is there a dress code?

No, though wearing pants and closed-toed shoes won’t hurt.

17) What is the temperature inside?

It is a cold 13 degrees.

18) How long is the visit?

The visits are in 20-minute increments, once you’re inside you’ll understand why!

19) What kind of beverages does Alamo Icebar serve? What is the price range?

We serve shots and non-alcoholic drinks only. The price range is $5-$15. One shot or non-alcoholic beverage is included with the ticket entry fee.

20) Are there non-alcoholic beverages available?

Sodas, juice, and more.

21) How can I purchase another drink after my complimentary drink?

The bartenders can assist you with another beverage if you’d like. Please keep in mind that we are cashless.

22) Do you provide a coat and gloves?

Yes, we provide a warm hooded parka with gloves for each of our guests.

23) Is the Icebar wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we are accessible by wheelchair.

24) Where do I park?

We recommend using the SAPark app to make it convenient for you. There are metered parking spots all around downtown from 8am–6pm and after 6pm, they’re free. There are city parking garages located at Riverwalk Casa Rio at 201 W Market Street (max daily rate is $20) and the River Walk Parking Garage at 309 N Alamo Street. Tuesdays after 6pm in city garages are free! Free parking on Sundays from 7am–midnight in the City Tower Garage located at 117 W Commerce Street!

25) Do you offer discounts of any kind?

We offer discounts of 20% off tickets for our first responders and active/retired service men/women. (Please present identification).

26) Do you have a refund or transfer policy?

No, we do not offer cancellations however we will reschedule the day and time of your ticket or offer a gift card for the full amount for a future date.

27) How do I reschedule if I cannot make my reservation’s timeslot?

You can do this with your digital ticket, or you may ask for assistance from one of our staff.

28) Are there bathrooms?

There is a bathroom located at the entrance of the Icebar. Please ask staff if you cannot locate it.

29) Is there somewhere to store strollers?

Yes, we have a place to store a stroller if you need it. We also offer free lockers for your personal items.

30) Do you allow weapons?

No, absolutely no weapons are allowed inside the Icebar.

31) Do you allow pets?

We allow service dogs, however there is a waiver you will need to sign before entering the icebar. Please let a staff member know at check-in that you have a service dog.

32) Do you have a lost item policy if I left something behind?

Yes, please ask a staff member or manager for assistance.
